After nearly seven and a half years since that first late- night air strike decimated the Iraqi government, U.S. combat troops are pulling out of Iraq tonight. 4,415 American service members died in Iraq and close to 32,000 Americans were wounded. Although the combat troops are pulling out of Iraq tonight, 50,000 Americans in uniform will remain behind in Iraq in what’s being called a noncombat role. God Bless our soldiers who are coming home and the one who will remain in Iraq for a while longer.
