In a little over a month after its release, Queen B’s fourth solo album has been certified platinum by the RIAA. 4 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 310,000 copies sold. This marks Bey’s fourth solo album to go platinum following I Am… Sasha Fierce, B’Day, and her debut Dangerously in Love. A statement on Beyonceonline read:

Bruno Mars’ “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” Goes Platinum

The RIAA has announced that Bruno Mars’ debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans has been certified platinum. This comes after Bruno took home his first Grammy award in February for “Just the Way You Are” as 2011’s Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, and on the heels of being named one of TIME magazine’s most influential people in the world. Lupe did it again! After reaching platinum status in ’07 with his hit “Superstar”, he secures another million in sales with his single “The Show Goes On”. It didn’t take a genius to figure out this one would be huge for Lupe. Next one to sell a milli should be my current favorite “Out Of My Head” with Trey Songz.

Only six weeks after her debut album was released, Nicki’s “Pink Friday” disc has sold 1 million units in the U.S. According to the RIAA it received the certification on 12/17/10 & remains #2 Rap Album and the #4 Album in the country on Billboard’s 200.
