The legendary Dwight “Heavy D ” Myers was laid to rest in his hometown of Mt. Vernon, New York today. Various friends and colleagues of Hev came to Grace Baptist Church to pay their respects, including Jay-Z, Usher, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, John Legend, and Denzel Washington. President Obama and the First Lady also sent their condolences for the man who changed the lives of many. May God Bless the Myers family.

Looks like Denzel is, once again, saying hello to the bad guy, a la Alonzo Harris in ‘Training Day.’ The film is set to hit theaters in February 2012, God Willing.
