It’s truly amazing how hip-hop has penetrated the world of media over the last 20 years. Will Smith and Queen Latifah started out making records, and then decided to try their hand at acting. Both stars were blessed to have very successful television shows that turned them into Hollywood heavyweights. More hip-hop stars have followed, as MC Lyte, Ice-T, LL Cool J, and Common have turned their acting careers on the small screen into very successful second careers. (more…)
